From an early age, Dr. Jeff Ball knew he wanted to work and connect with people on a deep and meaningful level. He majored in Clinical Psychology at the University of California in Los Angeles and earned his Ph.D. there in 1985. Since that time he has devoted his life to helping people overcome psychological problems.

His first job as a recent Ph.D. graduate was working as a Psychological Assistant engaging in group psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults. He also worked as a Staff Psychologist in the Assessment Unit at the UCLA Psychology Clinic and worked as a Director at Temple Isaiah in West Los Angeles. In the early 1990s he worked as a Consulting Psychologist at the St. Barnabas Senior Center where he studied Alzheimer's and other related cognitive illnesses. He also acted as supervisor for the clinical psychology graduate students and social work staff. By this time he had also opened his own private practice which he still operates today, working with couples, individuals and families. He participates in crisis intervention, dual diagnosis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Up until 2005 Dr. Ball also worked as a Psychologist at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration where he supervised and consulted for a 180 patient psychiatric unit. Since 1991 Dr. Ball has also been a Clinical Assistant Professor at UCLA where he teaches undergraduate students, interns and residents. Dr. Ball also spent time as Director at Bridges to Recovery, a residential facility for people dealing with psychological illness. Dr. Ball can now be found at PCH Treatment Center where he is the Founder and Clinical Director of intensive, transformative dual and day treatment programs.

The goal at the Psychological Care and Healing Treatment Center is to offer a holistic approach to healing. The treatment center at PCH provides a unique environment for healing. Multiple holistic therapies are utilized that promote mental health for each client. After a psychiatric evaluation, the first step taken on the path to healing is adjusting the medication regimen, if necessary. The approach at PCH minimizes medications usage as much as possible. The clients at PCH can expect intensive group and individual therapy coupled with holistic activities, such as yoga, nature activities, acupuncture, massage and meditation. PCH strives to restore the balance between body and the mind in the most natural and effective way possible.
